This cylinder uses a schlage key, however, it does not use schlage depths/spacing making it difficult to rekey to match the rest of the doors. The pin chambers were also too narrow to accept standard pins. I had to widen the pin chambers with a drill bit in order to rekey it. Not sure if this is a quality control issue or just non standard engineering. Looks good. Works well on the key it came with. However I would not recommend this product to locksmiths or anybody wanting this lock to match their existing schlage keys
